CICA's date with convention

In the years in which computers and the way we have used them have changed out of all recognition, one constant has been the Construction Industry Computing Association which has always sat comfortably somewhere between academia and the world of work, gently pushing forward knowledge and awareness. This year it will hold its 28th annual convention (yes, it really has been around for a long time) on the subject of 'People, Technology and Profit'.

Taking place at Downing College, Cambridge on 24 and 25 September, the convention will have a keynote address on the state of the industry from Mark Whitby, director of engineer Whitby Bird and Partners.Other topics will include IT myths and realities, integrating the business and exploiting wireless technology. The convention costs £280 plus VAT for CICA members, £380 plus VAT for non-members.
