The Concrete Centre is launched with a great fanfare tonight (Thursday) at RMJM's Commonwealth Institute. The new organisation represents the myriad groups involved in concrete and marks a return to the ethos of the Cement & Concrete Association of old.The man leading the charge is Ian Cox, who used to market steel for Corus before embarking on his latest challenge. The relaunched Concrete Quarterly in the AJ this week marks a new enthusiasm in the sector to engage positively with architects, not treat them as a sub-version of contractors and highway engineers.
