Carlisle City Council voted to proceed with Stanton Williams' rotunda scheme rather than bdp's less popular glass pyramid idea as the above ground structure for its Millennium Galleries last week (aj 11.11.99). The council voted to go with the scheme at a meeting on Tuesday night after the aj went to press. The public had voted ita more popular, though more expensive option.
