CABE IN GUARDED WELCOME FOR GEHRY'S HOVE PLANS

CABE's Design Review Committee has issued a guarded welcome to Frank Gehry's 'quirky' overall designs for the King Alfred development in Hove, although it has expressed concern over the project's lower residential blocks.

The committee has also praised the building as something 'entirely new' for Brighton and Hove - and for being of the same ilk as the Royal Pavilion when it was built.
