Jigsaw Cities: Big Places, Small Spaces Anne Power and John Houghton The Policy Press, 2007, £23.99 With a focus on Birmingham but still encompassing a broader view of British cities, the authors look both backwards and forwards to explain the reasons for today's acute urban problems and suggest a way forward based on local solutions for local problems.
