The Green Building Bible, 3rd Edition, Vol. 1: All you need to know about ecobuilding, Vol. 2: The low-energy design technical reference, Publishing Editor, Keith Hall, Green Building Press, 2006, £9.95 per volume or £17.00 for both inc. p&p (when ordered online at www.newbuilder. co. uk) Hall aptly calls his 700+ page bible a 'comprehensive snapshot of the green building movement in the UK'. Directed at a wide audience ranging from professionals to tradespeople to homeowners, the extensive adverts are almost as informative as the text.

Architects will find Vol. 2 more relevant, with chapters on renewables, building fabric and infiltration. A good resource with many many useful weblinks.
