Bollocks to architects

No this isn't the famous blogsite of a similar but not the same name. This is House 2.0, 'the online ramblings of the [biannual] Housebuilder's Bible author, Mark Brinkley.' which you can use to bypass booksellers.

Brinkley sure isn't an architect. Try this :'Russian Constructivism...it's not a movement I know anything about'. But the fact that he's not an initiate is why his site is essential reading for architects doing houses and conversions.

What it does is give a rare insight into the client point of view. It doesn't make for comfortable reading: for example there's a piece headed 'How to sack an architect' .But instead of moaning about how architects aren't understood by small clients, read on – and, providing you do it with a sense of inquiry, maybe find out why.
