Astragal is gutted to report the result of a sporting contest of mammoth proportions: the inaugural AJ versus RIBA table football competition. The clash, organised by the institute's Caz Facey, echoed in many ways the Ashes series that so enlivened the summer - truly a battle of the greats.

Unfortunately however, the resemblance ends there, with news that the wrong team won.

This accusation is not born out of bitterness, but a simple statement of certainty that the institute's two-point margin of victory would never have been achieved without the addition of a ringer or two from Denton Corker Marshall. Ok? so there may be a little bitterness.
