Blaenavon World Heritage Centre by Purcell Miller Tritton and Niall Phillips

Blaenavon World Heritage Centre, Church Road, Blaenavon

A small, busy intervention of glass, concrete, steel and timber squeezes between two historic school buildings, bursting out across the old playground. The entrance integrates the cafeteria and links the split-level historic buildings. Incidental glimpses and framed axial views to the historic landscape beyond are formalised and captured in the organisation of the plan.
