Besk, a desk that converts into a bed

ROUND-UP

Architects are enthusiastic users of home computers, as the survey in this issue of Architech shows. But what happens if you are short of space, or just start feeling really weary while studying the minutiae of hospital design in Borneo? The answer may be the Besk, a desk that converts into a bed. While many people put their computer into a spare room, this still normally requires two pieces of furniture instead of one. The Besk is evidently a product that is filling a need that we didn't know we had. Let's just hope that it is not installed wholesale in the offices of the most workaholic practices.
