bdp's conservation and repair work on Plas Mawr, an Elizabethan town house in Conwy, North Wales, has won it a 1999 Prince of Wales award. The building, widely thought to be the finest surviving example of its type in the uk, reopened to the public in 1997 after its four-year restoration.
