Good news for visitors to this year's Venice Art Biennale. On Fondamenta Briati from 12 June they will find the Manchester Pavilion, which 'extends the pavilion model by being fully licensed, open late, and exhibiting no art'. So, along with the empty walls, expect 'delicious ciabatta sandwiches' and 'a nice house red'. Clearly Manchester's renaissance continues apace.
