Autumn leave

Post-Easter, one's thoughts turn to the architect who might be chosen for this year's Serpentine Gallery. Nothing is yet forthcoming from the gallery, which must count as one of the great patrons of architecture in the UK. Thinking about possibilities, Astragal gets a certain Netherlands feeling, what with Rem Koolhaas getting the Gold, and working so much with Cecil Balmond, who generally engineers the Serpentine design. But maybe it will be one of those groovy young Dutch collectives ...
