ASTRAGAL'S NORTH POINT STORY IS APOCRYPHAL

LETTERS

I fear Astragal has been had (AJ 03.05.07). I first heard the story about Irish/Pakistani/African contractors building the north point on the drawing sent out from Britain, usually as a pool, in the early 1960s, and have heard it several times since then. Today, of course, it's contractors from the Middle East. File it under racist apocrypha.
