Art of cost control

A top-class team of speakers will address an AJ conference, 'Reducing the Cost of Building', taking place in London on Wednesday 24 September.

Clients and consultants include developer Julian Barwick of Development Securities, Paul Morrell of Davis Langdon & Everest, Tony Whitehead of Defence Estates, Cliff Jones of NHS Estates and Mark Corrigan of Kajima Construction Europe.

Contractor speakers will include Bob White, architecttrained chairman and chief executive of MACE, and Bill Munn, best practice director of Thomas Vale Construction.

Andrew Rabaneck, assistant estates director at Imperial College, will discuss strategies for reducing maintenance costs and John Worthington of DEGW will give insights into analysis of need and programme.
