ASTRAGAL

At the start of proceedings the Serpentine's director Julia Peyton-Jones informed guests that smoking was banned due to the amount of helium in the balloon. This riled a number of QSs, who pointed out that helium is 'inert'. Astragal, who managed to sleep through all his chemistry classes at school, is reliably informed that this means 'not explosive'.
