The Best Place to Work awards are based on the survey responses of nearly 1,000 AJ100 employees, who were asked where they would most like to work and about staff satisfaction, benefits, salaries and HR achievements

Last year’s winner in the North West region has taken the top spot once more. ‘Care’ is a frequently-used word among employees when describing Purcell. It is a ‘caring practice’ that ‘cares for conservation’, says one. Another adds: ‘I feel that I have finally found a home - a practice that I can grow with and develop as a person and in my architecture career.’

One hundred per cent of its staff who answered the employee survey say they are ‘satisfied’ or ‘very satisfied’ about their career prospects and the work the practice produces.
