Royal Academy Architecture Awards: Celebrating 30 Years

We worked with the Royal Academy to write a history of the Architecture Prize and to present a comprehensive catalogue of this year’s show

Client: Lend Lease

It’s absolutely fantastic. We didn’t realise it would be this good!

Caroline Massey, Lend Lease

Thirty years on from the Royal Academy of Arts’ first Architecture Awards, this publication commemorates the accolade that honours excellence in architectural design.

Each year the Academy houses the summer exhibition to celebrate the artistry that exists in model-making, photography and drawing – those essential elements of architecture that can often be overshadowed by the actual buildings that are created.

A brilliant piece of editorial. Really useful and very thorough.

Peter Barber, Director, Peter Barber Architects

To accompany these important awards, this publication not only showcases every single entry to the 2012 Summer Exhibition but also explores the link between the Royal Academy and architecture, the history of the exhibition, and why sponsor Lend Lease believes it is so important to back the initiative.

Contributors: Edith Devaney, Nicholas Grimshaw, Eva Jiricna, Chris WIlkinson, Dan Labbad, Jay Merrick, plus introduction by Christine Murray
