Staying local: Open House London

[OPEN HOUSE] Duggan Morris’ Kings Grove and Richard Paxton’s 15 1/2 Consort Road are two of Southwark’s highlights

With over 750 properties to visit, probably the most challenging aspect of the Open House weekend is choosing what to see, and how best to spend your time.

With extensive planning it is possible to travel across the city, taking in a great number of London’s architectural highlights. However, this year I will be staying in Southwark to explore some of the Boroughs local gems.

Two modern houses, Duggan Morris’ Kings Grove and Richard Paxton’s 15 1/2 Consort Road, are within walking distance of my house and along with Sir Owen Williams’ Grade II* listed Pioneer Health Centre, they will make up a relaxing local day of Open House on Saturday.

Sunday: I’m undecided.
