Adam vs Ely: seconds out, round three?

I must thank Alex Ely for his kind words (Letters, AJ 25.11.04). Unfortunately, to paraphrase the AJ's jokey letter title, I have indeed got my gob-on. The crenellated building used as an illustration of a 'gob-on' in his book was designed by my office at Poundbury. Of course, we did think these details were to do with the 'design meaning' - I am sorry Ely did not. It seems that I would, in fact, 'dream of doing something like this' but at least it proves that my original letter was not paranoia.
