A surefire way to kick the ARB into touch

letters

I was interested to read the letters from Ian Salisbury and Peter Gibbs-Kennet concerning the current twist in the Architects' Registration Board saga (AJ 24.7.03). In a climate where transparency is the order of the day, the ARB seems to regard obfuscation as the yardstick when dealing with simple questions regarding its policy.

The real solution to this problem is for all architects to resign their registration. It would be quite difficult for the board to pursue 32,000 of us for using the title 'architect' in such circumstances and it would have the added benefit of bringing it to its knees overnight.
