A small point about Macmillan's silver

I much enjoy reading Martin Pawley's thought-provoking articles. They have always seemed to me (am I alone? ) largely ironic. However, on an issue of minor detail, didn't Harold Macmillan's remarks about 'selling the family silver' refer to the 1980s mania for privatisation, rather than the three-day week?
