Urban Splash's New Islington bridge competition (AJ 22.02.07) drew a healthy number of entrants. One proposal which didn't make the final four was a tee-rrific design by Murray Kerr of the Building Design Partnership. Kerr's mad(golf)cap scheme for the new footbridge was to be made 'from golfers sporting Pringle, Lyle & Scott and Ashworth'.

In Kerr's own words, 'the bridge will be colourful, warm to the touch on cold winter mornings and interesting underfoot as you step on a mixture of cashmere, merino and plain old lambswool.' Sorry Tiger Woods, was that your face?
