I feel the proposed London Bridge Tower would be a welcome addition to London's skyline. It mirrors the traditional spires of the old skyline, but brings the much-loved image to the 21st century.
This tower will help regenerate a run-down area that needs redevelopment and investment, and this beautiful tower brings it with style and grace.
Many people said the Swiss Re, or 'erotic gherkin', would be an eyesore and disrupt views of St Paul's. But it is now admired and revered by many people as a distinctive piece of architecture.
We need to embrace imaginative and original buildings such as London Bridge Tower and encourage more like it, but we must not make the mistakes of the 1950s and '60s with ugly concrete blocks, such as Guy's Hospital tower.
This tower would be a landmark, like the Empire State Building and the Chrysler Building. We should not miss the opportunity to have such a wonderful building standing proudly over this great city, which would be recognised the world over.
