LETTERS

The ARB has received a complaint regarding the Careers Guide in AJ 22.02.07. As you know, Section 20 of the Architects Act 1997 provides that a person may not use the title 'architect' in business or practice in the UK unless he/she is registered with the Board.

I have checked the Register of Architects and should advise that Mr Musallam, who featured on page 55 of the issue, is not registered and should not, therefore, be referred to as a 'trainee architect'. I have also written to Atkins, his employer, in this respect.
