Soft Landings Level 1: 28 June 2012 - 9:00am - 16:30am

Centre for Mathematical Sciences had post-occupancy evaluation which measured the buildings performance
‘Many buildings are sustainable and robust on paper, but not in reality. Soft Landings is a process to help new and refurbished buildings bridge the gap between design intent and actual performance.
This course will inform delegates about this quality-focused process that defines what clients require, establishes performance targets, continually reviews what is taking place, places greater emphasis on building readiness at handover and then stays involved with a building to fine-tune it and learn how it really performs.
Soft Landings is gaining momentum as a process to meet the needs of 21st century construction projects by:
- being increasingly specified by clients
- providing a means of earning credits in BREEAM for New Construction
- being in the process of adoption for government procurement policy
- assisting project teams deliver lower carbon buildings within constrained budgets
This one day training course will get delegates up to speed with this new best practice process. Level 2 and 3 Soft Landings courses are currently in the planning stages.’
