Reader offer - [Oct 17] Engineering Environmental Architecture conference
Three complimentary passes to an event on integrated design teaching at the University of Bath
Footprint has teamed up with FeildenCleggBradley Studios to offer readers three complimentary passes to the Engineering Environmental Architecture: University of Bath 30 years on conference on the 17th October 2012 from 1:30 pm at the University of Bath.
I initially heard about the integrated teaching of architecture and engineering at Bath(brainchild of Ted Happold) when I first profiled Atelier Ten’s Patrick Bellew in 2000. Since then, I’ve repeatedly met both architects and engineers who trained in that programme; most recent was BDSP’s Klaus Bode, the services engineer behind the Velodrome. This should be a good event.
The conference presents seven Bath University graduates who will share their views on the future of the profession and how their work impacts the design and energy performance of buildings.
Hosted by Bath Professors Peter Clegg, David Coley and Tim Ibell and chaired by AR/AJ editorial director Paul Finch, the speaker line-up includes Patrick Bellew from Atelier Ten, Klaus Bode from BDSP, Guy Battle from Deloitte, Ant Wilson from AECOM, Neil Billett from Buro Happold, Dave Richards from Arup, Andy Ford from Mott MacDonald Fulcrum, Keith Bradley from Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios and Selçuk Avci from AvciArchitects.
Peter Clegg says:
Where can you listen to the collective wisdom of seven of the top environmental engineers in the country all in one go? Come and listen to seven Bath University graduates who are at the top of their game explain what inspires them and how they see the future of the profession. With this line up, it should be stimulating, provocative, and fun.
So if you are interested in how environmental engineers contribute to low carbon buildings and future trends in sustainable design, come and join us at Bath.
