Five complimentary tickets for Footprint readers for Thursday’s seminar
Footprint has been offered 5 complimentary tickets to Low Carbon Homes for Real: Part L, compliance and proof of performance for new and existing homes hosted by Good Homes Alliance at UCL, London on April 26.
Low Carbon Homes for Real: Part L, compliance and proof of performance for new and existing homes: 26 April 2012 - 14:00 pm - 17:30 pm
‘Post construction testing has repeatedly revealed a significant gap between the ‘designed’ and ‘as-built’ thermal performance of new homes. Ensuring performance and closing this gap are clearly essential strategies for a low carbon future and compliance is now being actively addressed through the consultation on proposed changes to Part L of the Building Regulations.
Since 2008, the Good Homes Alliance has been collaborating on a series of activities to help its developer members deliver low carbon performance in reality. At this event, we will set the policy context and explore how the Government is addressing compliance and as-built performance. GHA Developer Members and others will then describe the efforts they have taken to improve performance, what housing providers and developers are doing to ensure their homes are operating as designed and are comfortable and healthy and and what they have achieved, and learnt, on the projects they have completed to date.’
To win one of the complimentary tickets, email ajsustainability@EMAP.com with your name, occupation and contact details. Please note, it is first come, first served.
