'Material Wild' at SCIN gallery
The SCIN gallery’s new exhibition offers natural replacements to synthetic materials
Online resource and materials consultancy SCIN have opened a new exhibition on materials ‘cultivated’ in the wild, curated by SCIN principal Annabelle Filer. Displayed in and amongst a clutter of stacked orange boxes, the collection features natural alternatives to common synthetic materials used in architecture.

Fungi grown foam - in detail
Materials exhibited include fungi-grown foam, Neptune Grass ‘sea balls’ insulation made by German company NeptuTherm, and a self-healing resin floor.
Material Wild
‘SCIN goes Material Wild’ runs until April 20. The Gallery is open from 10am – 6pm, admission free.
