First look: Arca on Morecambe promenade

Manchester-based practice Arca Architects has completed this £250,000 café and toilet block on Morecambe promenade

Backed by regeneration body Winning Back Morecambe, part of Lancaster City Council, the Silver Café is wrapped in stainless steel bands and sits on a series of terraces at the western end of the resort’s seafront.

The toilet block at the rear has been made from ‘robust’ matt-painted steel with oak doors and fittings.
