First look: Apeldoorn velodrome

Faulkner Brown's dutch multi-sports complex has recently completed phase 1. Here are the first images of the Velodrome in Apeldoorn

Phase 1 of Faulkner Brown’s Omnisportcentrum in Apeldoorn, Holland recently opened. The 85,000m² project houses an indoor athletics track, volleyball courts and a velodrome (pictured) and is the Dutch National centre for indoor athletics.

The velodrome has the capacity to seat 6,000 spectators and can also be programmed as a concert venue. The 250m cycle track has two flaps at either side which can be lowered to allow vehicular access to the centre.
