I want to buy a subscription. Where can I find out more information?
Subscription information can be found on our website and you can subscribe directly through the website by credit or debit card, or by Direct Debit. If you need any assistance or any more information, please visit www.architectsjournal.co.uk/detail.

What’s included in the subscription price?
That depends on the subscription package you choose. Our three subscription packages bringing you the best of both print and digital platforms, can be found on our subscription page.

How much is a subscription?
The latest price offers can be found on our subscription page. Any discount displayed is the saving off the cover price. Please note that if you aresubscribing from outside the UK and you choose to pay by credit card, your payment will be processed in UK £ Sterling at a recent rate of exchange - which may therefore be different to the £ Sterling published price.

My company needs an invoice to pay for the subscription. How can I get one?
We can arrange to send you an invoice. Please contact customer services.

Can I order a subscription for delivery to an address outside the UK?
Yes. But as the magazine is despatched from the UK, the subscription price is higher to cover the additional delivery costs.

Can I pay in a currency other than £ sterling?
We accept cheque payments in most currencies. If paying by credit card, your payment will be processed in UK £ Sterling at a recent rate of exchange - which may therefore be different to the £ Sterling published price. Please contact customer services for other payment queries.

Can I order more than one subscription?

When will my first issue arrive?
Your order acknowledgement will confirm details of the first issue you will be sent. This is normally within 14 days of placing your order.

What do you do with my personal information?
We use the personal information you provide such as your name, address, email address and credit card details to process your subscription order. We may also ask you about your profile and interest areas, and whether you are interested in receiving details of other services provided by EMAP Publishing Limited (the publisher of Architect’s Journal) and/or those of third parties which may be of interest to you. Managing your subscription


How do I access all areas of the website?
You need to be a paid subscriber to access all areas of the website. If you do not have a subscription, you can access all articles within a few minutes by www.architectsjournal.co.uk/why-subscribe

Why do I have to register on the website if I am a paid subscriber?
In order to access all the subscriber-only content on the website, you need to activate your online account. Firstly, if you haven’t already done it, you will need to register on the website. You can do this at: www.architectsjournal.co.uk/register-now. To register, first enter your Subscriber Number and your surname (exactly as it appears on the wrapper/label on your magazine subscription copy) and then complete the registration form. If you cannot find your subscription number, please contact our Customer Services.

I am being asked for my Subscriber Number. How do I find it?
Your subscriber number is a 10-digit number which is used to identify both you and your subscription. It can be found on any email or written correspondence we have sent you - or on the wrapper/label on your subscription copy.

I’ve forgotten my password. How do I find it?
When signing in, you will find a ‘forgotten password’ link under the password box. Click on this and then fill in the email address you used when registering on the site. We will then email your password to you within a few minutes.

I have a paid subscription and have registered with the website, but am unable to access the subscriber-only content. Why?

If you are unable to access subscriber-only content, please try the below:

  • Firstly, check that you are the named subscriber of the magazine. If you are not and wish for the login details to be changed to your email address, please arrange for the named subscriber to contact us directly with their subscription number. Please contact our Customer Services team
  • Refresh your account by logging in and out again. This should ensure that your subscription details are up-to-date
  • Check if your subscription has lapsed. In order to check your status, please log out and log back in again, and go to your www.architectsjournal.co.uk/my-account page, which will show you your subscription status
  • Check that the email address you registered on the website the same as the one you used for your paid-for subscription
  • Check that your surname entered exactly as it appears on the wrapper/label on your magazine subscription copy
  • Did you recently send in payment for a new subscription order/renewal? It may be that there has been a delay in receiving or processing your payment and subscription

How do I access the AJ Buildings Library?
Simply click on one of the links on the main AJ site, or this one: www.ajbuildingslibrary.co.uk you will need to login in again, using the same login details as you do for the AJ site.

How do I access the iPad/iPhone Edition?
Firstly, please check you have a subscription which includes access to the iPad/iPhone edition. To activate the iPad edition for the first time:

  • Go to the App Store on your iPad and locate the Architects' Journal
  • Download it to your newsstand
  • To access, simply go to your newsstand, locate the Architects’ Journal,
  • Tap on the banner at the top that says 'Tap here to access your subscription to the AJ ipad editions'
  • Then enter your AJ website email address and password and click submit.

Can I change my email address and the password I use to access the website?
Yes. To change your email address and password, please first sign in to your account and go to the Account Settings page. Once you have done this, please email Help@subscribe.architectsjournal.co.uk to advise them of your change of email address.

How can I check the details of my subscription - or renew my subscription?
You can check your subscription details online at www.architectsjournal.co.uk/myaccount You will need your 10 digit Subscriber Number to access your account as this is used to identify both you and your subscription.

When I go back to use the website again, I have been logged out. Why?
Something is probably blocking your cookies. Please check your browser settings, and any firewall or spyware software you may have installed.

Please also remember to click ‘Remember Me’ as this should help avoid this problem in future.

Why do I need cookies enabled?
We use cookies to help the website remember who you are and to give you access to all the features on our site. To gain full access to the site, cookies need to be enabled.

How do I sign up to receive the email alerts/newsletters?
Please first sign in to the website, click on ‘My Account’ and then go to ‘My newsletters’. This will show you a list of the alerts and newsletters you can choose, simply tick the ones you want and click “submit”.

I signed up to receive your free newsletters, but I am not receiving them. Why?
Please check you have provided us with your correct email address. To check which e-mail address you are registered with, sign in to your account and go to the Account Settings page. If your details here are correct, we suggest you check your mailbox settings to see if the newsletters are being pushed into ‘junk’ mail or if your mailbox is full. To avoid the newsletters being treated as spam, it may help to add the email address daily@mail.architectsjournal.co.uk to your address book.

If you are still experiencing problems, we suggest you then contact your own email service provider.

How do I ‘unsubscribe’ from your newsletters?
Please first sign in to the website, click on ‘My Account’ and then select ‘My Newsletters’. Simply un-tick the ones you no longer wish to receive and click submit.
