The AJ has uncovered this remarkable picture, believed to be an early visualisation of plans for the northern extension of the Haram Mosque in Mecca. The AJ recently revealed Foster + Partners and Zaha Hadid had been asked for design proposals to overhaul Islam's holiest city.
