Accordia by Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios, Alison Brooks Architects and Maccreanor Lavington

Brooklands Avenue, Cambridge

High density housing is linked by a series of public, semi-public and private but visible open spaces. The houses and flats have rural and urban views and well proportioned rooms.

How wrong you can be. This is a superb scheme and the best of what seems, I'm afraid, a rather mediocre bunch this year. Housing is such an important element in architecture and so often an area of criticism - with justification, it is great to celebrate when it is done well. It certainly has my vote.

this is horrible. who would want to live here? please don't give the stirling prize to this.

I look forward to more residential developments by FCB.
