"A spatially rich scheme was the intention, with a 'cascade' of terraces and planting at the rear. Period features of the building were reinstated where appropriate, with new elements unambiguously contemporary but sensitive to the context."

flat incorporates a living space, gallery mezzanine level and lower-level bedroom with courtyard. Brown-stained Douglas fir timber is used for the doors, windows and cladding for the rear kitchen extension; combined with clear and translucent frameless glazing, metal copings, white render and stock brickwork.
