Lukewarm reception
The British Council for Offices conference in New York went swimmingly by all accounts. A highlight included a trip inside the Chrysler Building’s stainless-steel spire. An unusual lowlight, so Astragal hears, was provided by Uruguayan star Rafael Viñoly, who bumbled his way through an unprepared speech. The offering from the man-with-many-glasses did not go down very well with the mainly British audience. He’ll be hoping his Walkie Talkie gets a better reception ...
