Gunning for gold

Astragal, AJ readers will be interested to know, is a big fan of the Where’s Wally? books. Yes, many an hour has been whiled away searching feverishly for that bespectacled little trickster, with his red and white hat cocked at a jaunty little angle. ‘Where are you Wally?! Where are you?!’ Anyway, this little game was recreated at yet another boring Olympics press conference. Once again Lord Coe was banging on about kids and sport, so to stave off the boredom Astragal created an impromptu Where’s Wally? with the CGI people used in the new Olympic Park mock-up designs. But he was quite taken aback to see one of the figures used was undoubtedly brandishing an imaginary machine-gun, and can even be seen making the requisite machine-gun noise. ‘BRRRRR!! BRRRRRRRRR!!’ One certainly hopes the security is a little tighter when the real games get going. You’d never see that loveable rogue Wally doing that.
