Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned, and it seems that recently dumped Kate Middleton has worked out a novel way of getting back at former beau Prince William and the rest of the Royal Family. Knowing the Royals’ antipathy towards architecture, young Kate must have touched a few nerves when she was spotted, according to the gutter press, flirting outrageously with architect Alex Shirley-Smith at favoured Royal haunt Mahiki. Shirley-Smith, 30, told the Mail on Sunday that he had spotted Middleton, 25, across the dancefloor wearing an eye-catching ‘70s-style minidress and knee-high boots. The gallant-sounding Shirley-Smith told slavering hacks that Middleton, who he said ‘had fantastic legs’ and ‘smelt sweet and fresh like spring’, indulged in ‘some very sexy moves’ with him to the James Brown classic Sex Machine. The pair then continued their clumsy courtship to EMF’s seminal Unbelievable, with Shirley-Smith confiding that he had mouthed ‘you’re unbelievable’ at Middleton, who had reciprocated the gesture. But this story isn’t just of interest to Fleet Street’s finest and the rather voyeuristic Astragal. The ARB will no doubt be following events keenly. It appears that ‘architect’ Shirley-Smith is, you guessed it, not on the ARB register. If you want a real architect, Kate, Astragal is prepared to drop everything and work like fury towards that Part 3.
