Wilmotte Foundation launches Venice students contest

[Registration must be completed by 15 May] The Wilmotte Foundation has opened a student ideas contest to re-invent Venice’s water-borne housing

Open to both students and recent graduates, the contest calls for a mix of housing and studio spaces around the island of Saint Elena (pictured).

The project includes the conversion of existing buildings on the former industrial site and the construction of new ‘contemporary’ additions to regenerate the area.

The top three entries will share an £11,400 prize fund.
