Venetian student design competition opened

[Registration must be completed before 1 November] Italian lighting producer Artemide has launched a design contest for students focussing on Venice

The single-stage competition asks current students to design new entrances to the world-famous city using temporary and ‘subversive’ interventions.

Proposals for the either the Piazzale Roma or Santa Lucia are called for with lighting to be used in ‘an innovative way’.

A £3,600 prize fund will be shared between the top three entrants.
