Velux launches ‘light of tomorrow’ student contest

Velux has launched a student competition exploring natural daylight

Open to current students worldwide, Velux has opened registration for their 2014 student award which has a £25,000 prize fund.

Entries do not have to use Velux products.

Each student, whether entering individually or as a team, must be backed by a tutor from their school of architecture.

In 2012 the award received 983 entries from 59 countries with the winning scheme by Bo Li and Ge Men awarded the hefty prize.

Registration must be completed by 3 March 2014 through the contest’s page. The deadline for submissions is 2 May 2014. An award event is planned for October 2014.
