Van Alen Institute on the hunt for architect to redesign its New York HQ
[Responses and portfolios are due 13 June] The New York-based Van Alen Institute is now accepting registrations from architects to redesign the ground and lower floors of their premises as a venue for work and public spaces
Designers who have qualified within the past ten years are eligible, with each team required to submit a portfolio of works for consideration.
Three teams will be shortlisted, and each offered a stipend to develop their proposal for the institute’s 315m² building.
A briefing meeting will take place on site 15 July with construction of the winning scheme planned to get underway this winter.
