Think tank calls for Barcelona festival proposals

[Submissions to be received by 19 April] Spain’s eme3 think tank has invited international architects and designers to submit ideas for a festival in Barcelona in June

The organiser of the eme3 festival is seeking projects which are either under development or completed and focus on ‘political, economic and social’ contexts.

The show will be divided into a ‘share-it’ category, where schemes are only exhibited, and a ‘build-it’ category where one submission will be constructed in a temporary form using on site facilities.

A £5,000 prize fund has been announced with a £2,500 build budget allocated for the temporary structure.

No specific format is specified for submission and entrants are free to use prototypes, models, video installations and architectural drawings.

Submissions to the free-to-enter contest must be in either English or Spanish and sent electronically.
