Temporary structures for Guimarães, Portugal
[Enrolment must be completed by 6 January 2012] The Portuguese city of Guimarães is looking for proposals for five temporary urban structures as part of its 2012 European Capital of Culture programme
Multi-disciplinary teams submitting entries have been asked to consider performance and public interaction in their designs.
A shortlist of 30 entries will feature in a catalogue while five designs will be chosen for construction.
Selected teams will receive part of a £10,400 fund to start construction, along with £870 in travel expenses.
Enrolment must be completed by 6 January 2012
Submissions should also be received by 6 January 2012
Shortlist announced 16 January 2012
Finalists deadline for submissions 10 February 2012
Winners announced 25 February 2012
Project construction deadline 12 June 2012
