Swansea gallery seeks architect for feasibility study
Swansea’s Mission Gallery is on the hunt for a design team to conduct a feasibility study
The 1868 Grade II-listed building was opened as a gallery in 1977.
Described as a ‘whole building’ restoration teams are called for to modernise and utilise the existing structure while creating modern additions, including space for offices and meeting rooms.
Applicant teams should be architect-led and should include an engineer and cost consultant at a minimum.
It is anticipated that the successful team chosen for the study will be involved from ‘feasibility to implementation’ of the works.
The feasibility study is set to be complete by March 2014 with fees for the work set at £20,000.
Applications must only be made through Michael Nixon by 13 September with teams shortlisted 18 September and interviewed 1 October.
