Student contest launched for Durban transport hub

[Registration to be completed by 31 October] The International Union of Architects has launched a student competition for a transport hub in Durban, South Africa

Submissions must include long term, short term and immediate proposals for the Warwick Junction site.

A £6,500 prize fund will be split between three winners with each entrant charged £32 to register

The competition language is English and submissions should be made digitally as A1-sized pages.

Registration must be completed by 31 October and projects submitted by 31 March 2014.

  • I encourage everyone to take a look at this brief - student or not. This is how design / ideas competitions should be run, and I hope the UK takes some cues from the energy and inspiration in this call for entries. Needless to say I am hugely impressed with my friends in Durban running this competition.
