Southend-on-Sea Council seeks architect for school extension
Southend-on-Sea Borough Council is on the hunt for an architect-led team to expand a local junior school
Architect led teams are called for to take the worksat Hamstel Junior School through all RIBA stages.
Extensions to the school’s core spaces and an additional seven classrooms are expected to be needed, with the 1930s school remaining open throughout the works.
Quantity surveying and CDM services will be procured separately by the council.
Teams hoping to be considered can find a list of required criteria through the tender page, including evidence of work on similar completed schemes with values above £1.5 million.
Expressions of interest are due by 8 November. A shortlist of six teams will be drawn up before being invited to tender for the work.
