The Leibniz Institute of Animal Biology requires an architect for a new-build experimental cattle centre at the Leibniz animal biology centre in Dummerstorf, Germany.

The scheme will have facilities for 60 cows in 4 groups of 15, alongside milking, treatment and secondary areas, a calves area, bio-acoustic behaviour area, offices, social areas, fodder, water, liquid manure tank, frost-resistant feed troughs and facilities for 5,000 kg of milk. Also required are weighing, washing and treatment facilities.

The deadline for applications is 12pm on 17 September and the application language is German.

The Alfred Wegener Institute for Polar and Marine Research is seeking an architect to masterplan for its renovation.

The institute building is Listed Category C and in a prominent position on the promenade in Bremerhaven.

The scheme includes an aquarium, research and laboratory areas, workshops, technical, seminar and refrigerated areas, and the redevelopment of a cool room. The project value is 4,600,000 Euros.

The deadline for applications is 10am on 8 September and the application language is German.
