RIBA North East launches Forgotten Spaces 2012
[The deadline for registration is 27 April] RIBA North East has launched a Forgotten Spaces competition for the entire North East region open to students, artists, designers, planners and architects from across the UK
Proposals to transform disused or overlooked locations must respond to the area and serve a function for the local community.
The top prize is £5,000 with £2,000 for the second prize and £1,000 going to the third place winner.
A series of ‘cultivation events’ and workshops for the competition will take place in April and May in partnership with Newcastle City Council, Middlesbrough Council and Gateshead Council.
Relevant deadlines:
Registration must be completed by 27 April
Submissions should be received 29 June
Winners will be announced September
