Pedestrian bridge design contest, Amsterdam
[Registration should be completed by 15 December 2011] AC-CA has launched an ideas competition for an ‘iconic’ pedestrian bridge in Amsterdam, the Netherlands
Plans are sought for a pedestrian bridge to span a 90 metre-wide canal in Amsterdam’s centre. Sited over the Amstel River the bridge should be a minimum of four metres wide and be wheelchair accessible.
Entries should include a 100m² cafe with associated facilities and small bike repair station either on the bridge or beside it. The whole site exluding the bridge should not exceed 200m².
A prize fund of $5,400 has been announced.
Registration should be completed by 15 December 2011
Submissions must be received by 29 February 2012
Winners will be announced 15 March 2012
